top 8 of the draft review

The 2014 NBA draft was awesome this year with the most amazing young talent now coming into the league. I will be reviewing each pick in the first round and how I think they will progress in their careers.

1: Andrew Wiggins going to the Cavaliers. The Cavaliers made a great pick because they needed more talent to bring lebron back to Cleveland, Wiggins is a great pick because he has amazing athleticism, he can shoot, and he can get to the rim, he is probably one of the best well rounded players in this draft.

2: Jabari Parker going to the bucks. Jabari is an amazing athlete with a good attitude and he will be an important asset to the bucks. The bucks are rebuilding their roster and Jabari is the man for the job for rebuilding the team. He is a great shooter, he can rebound, he can assist, he can also play any position. With Jason Kidd as the new bucks coach Jabari will learn lots under him.

3: Joel Embiid going to the 76ers. Embiid is a dominating big man from Kansas that will help the 76ers with their size. He just started playing basketball at age 16 and now he is the third pick in the NBA draft'There is one problem with embiid though, he broke his foot and won't be able to play basketball in four months, so that means no training camps and stuff for him. Embiid can shoot fairly well for his size, and my prediction is that he will do well in the nba.

4: Aaron Gordon going to the Magic: Aaron Gordon is just simply great, he is only 17 years old and he is the fourth pick in the draft. Gordon is like a mix between derrick rose and Blake Griffin he can dribble like derrick rose and he can dunk like Blake Griffin. Gordon was the PAC-12 player of the year coming out of Arizona. Going to Orlando will help him get better and better, he is an okay  shooter but under a good coach they could fix it.
5: Dante Exum going to the Jazz. Exum is a guard coming out of Australia, he was planning to go to an american college but then he saw his draft stock rising and he became the fifth pick. with the new back court for the jazz, Dante Exum will learn a lot being on the jazz, he is a guard that can get to the rim and he can shoot long range.

6: Marcus Smart going to the Celtics. Marcus Smart is an explosive point guard from Oklahoma state university, with Rondo possibly leaving Smart will be a great fit for the point guard position. Smart is a streaky shooter but he can dribble, he was also in the top ten in assists in college. I think he will get a couple rings in his NBA career
7: Julius Randle going to the Lakers. Lakers are a good fit for Julius because the Lakers don't have a big man that can get to the rim like Randle. He showcased his skill in the NCAA tournament when he lead his 8th seeded Kentucky Wildcats all the way to the national championship but then lost to the UCONN huskies. in the final game Randle scored 20 points and 13 rebounds, i think he will stick with the Lakers.
8: Nik Stauskas going to the kings. Nik Stauskas for one is an amazing shooter, I remember when I first saw him and it was the NCAA championship against Louisville in the first half he scored five 3 pointers, and right there i thoughthe would be good in the nba. He also plays good defense.

My first post

Michael Jordan the best?                                                                                                                                                                                                                         Many basketball fans in the 20th century question if Michael Jordan is the best player ever. All because of Kobe Bryant. In the early 2000's it was the fight between Kobe and Michael.  Michael Jordan once said "Kobe was a challenge." Which meant  when he was in his prime and if he played Kobe it would be a close game.
Kobe Bryant              Michael Jordan's career stats: 30.1 points per game, 49% field goal percentage, 38.3 minutes per game, 32% 3-point, 85% free throw, 1.60 offensive rebound,  4.70 defensive rebound, 5.3 assists, 2.35 steals per game, .83 blocks per game, 2.73 turnovers per game.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Career highlights: Six time NBA champion, ten time all-NBA first team, one time all-NBA second team, 5 career most valuable player awards, 14 time all-star, Olympic gold medalist.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Kobe Bryant's career stats: 25.46 points per game, 45% field goal percentage, 36.60 minutes per game, 33% three point percentage, 83% free throw percentage, 5.30 rebounds, 4.76 assists, 3.01 turnovers, .50 blocks per game                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            In conclusion Michael shows that he was the better player by stats but the world may never actually know who would win in a one on one match-up.
